A Sanctuary
We recently received a very special gift. One of our partners, Dolores, blessed us with a beautiful print of the painting below depicting life in the womb. What makes it even more special is that this painting was done by her own son, artist Mike Molina. When she asked him about the painting he said it was for an art exhibit entitled "Sanctuary". He felt inspired to do a painting of life within a mother's womb, a place of sanctuary. Wow! Dolores, after seeing her son's art, then felt moved to write a poem to accompany the painting. We were so touched by these artistic expressions of the life God creates, that we wanted to share the painting and the poem with you so that you can enjoy both displays of art and be inspired for life too:
A Sanctuary

A Sanctuary
A place, a dwelling place.
Be reverent for God is Holy.
Bow your heart in adoration,
And lift your voice and hands in praise.
Repent and be forgiven, and forgive.
Be surrounded by His peace,
His light and presence are here.
“Be still and know that I am God[1].”
A Sanctuary
God’s Love, a dwelling place,
A hiding place, a refuge.
Abide under the shadow of the Almighty[2].
He is full of love, mercy, and grace.
“Rejoice, for His banner over us is love[3].”
He has given us a Savior,
His only begotten Son,
Because of His love for us[4].
A Sanctuary
A home, a dwelling place.
Love dwells here,
Family, faith, and prayer.
Jesus said, “Love one another as I have loved you[5].”
His love is unconditional and sacrificial.
In God’s word, Joshua said,
“As for me and my house,
We shall serve the Lord[6].”
A Sanctuary
Heaven, a beautiful dwelling place.
It is filled with God’s glory,
A final destination.
“Fight the good fight of faith,
And finish your course[7].”
For “Eye had not seen, ear had not heard,
Nor has it entered the heart of man,
What God has prepared
For those who love Him[8].”
A Sanctuary
A Mother’s Womb, God has prepared a dwelling place.
Sacred, a mystery, safe, secure, warm.
Breathe, be fed, live, grow, be loved,
In your mother’s womb,
God Himself is forming you there[9].
Birth, new life, pain, joy, anticipation,
A sound, a baby’s cry.
A Sanctuary
My heart, a dwelling place.
If I abide in Him, He will abide in me[10].
“I will call upon Him and He will answer me,
And show me great and mighty things which I do not know[11].”
“Holy Spirit, stay with me,
Guide me, show me the way[12].”
“Jesus is the way, the truth, and the Life,
No one comes to the Father, except through Him[13].”
